Dr. Laura Prince is a Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation (PM&R) physician with specialized expertise in cancer rehabilitation. She earned her medical degree from the University of Toledo College of Medicine. She then went on to complete her residency in PM&R at the University of Wisconsin, where she discovered her interest in working with the cancer population. After completing residency, Dr. Prince pursued a fellowship in Cancer Rehabilitation at MD Anderson Cancer Center. Dr. Prince began her professional career at IU Health, where she helped with establishing the Cancer Rehabilitation Clinic and worked in the medically complex inpatient unit. Shen then moved to Chicago, IL and is currently based at Advocate Health Lutheran General Hospital, where she continues to work on the inpatient rehab unit. She is working with her department and the oncology services to build an inpatient cancer rehab consult service and to develop outpatient cancer rehab clinics. Her mission is to provide comprehensive, patient-centered care that addresses the physical, emotional, and psychosocial challenges faced by cancer survivors, helping them regain independence and improve their overall well-being.
