Dr. Fleming is a pediatric rehabilitation physician at Children’s National Hospital (CNH) and a Clinical Instructor at George Washington University Medical Center. Her clinical focus is inpatient rehabilitation, splitting time between CNH and the Medstar National Rehabilitation Hospital (NRH). At NRH, she helps manage a 12-bed pediatric acute inpatient rehabilitation unit, treating a wide variety of injuries and diseases. At CNH, she performs inpatient PM&R consults, providing patients and clinical teams with recommendations on a rehabilitation plan of care. She is part of several multidisciplinary teams at CNH, including the MDA clinic for children with neuromuscular disorders; the pediatric stroke clinic; and the Neuroimmunology team for children with neuroimmune disorders. She is part of multiple clinical trials for teenagers with multiple sclerosis. As an academic physiatrist, she teaches and supervises fellows, residents, and medical students and provides formal didactic teaching to trainees at multiple residency programs in the area.
