Pamilyn Richardson, MT-BC, LPMT, NMT™, is a board-certified music therapist with over a decade of experience pioneering and expanding music therapy programs in healthcare and rehabilitative settings. As a leader in the field, Pam played a key role in establishing music therapy positions at both Outpatient Rehabilitation and Dodd Rehabilitation Hospital. Specializing in neurological rehabilitation and hospice care, Pam has worked extensively with individuals facing autism, Parkinson’s disease, traumatic brain injuries, strokes, and disorders of consciousness. She is trained in the MATADOC (Music Therapy Assessment Tool for Awareness in Disorders of Consciousness) and uses its principles to inform her clinical practice.
In addition to clinical work, Pam served as the founding director of a Parkinson’s-focused therapeutic choir, leading performances and community engagement efforts. Currently, Pam continues to advance music therapy services at OSU Wexner Medical Center, using music to enhance patients’ well-being, promote healing, and foster meaningful connections through personalized therapeutic interventions.
