Dr. Larson is a clinical neuropsychologist at Marianjoy Rehabilitation Hospital where he directs the Psychology Department and the Brain Injury Program. He received his doctorate in clinical psychology from the Fuller School of Psychology in Pasadena, California. He trained at Rush-Presbyterian-St. Luke’s Medical Center and at Northwestern University. He is board-certified by the American Board of Clinical Neuropsychology. He practiced as a neuropsychologist for over 20 years at the Rehabilitation Institute of Chicago before accepting a leadership position at Marianjoy in 2016. As a principal investigator funded by the National Institute for Disability and Rehabilitation Research and the National Institutes of Health, he led several studies of the assessment and treatment of cognitive impairment due to brain injury. He is committed to mentoring future psychologists, which has included development and direction of hospital-based clinical training programs, formal instruction of graduate students at the Illinois Institute of Technology and supervision of doctoral dissertation research for other local schools.
