Jill Hellstsand graduated and obtained my Bachelor’s in Physical Therapy from The Robert Gordon University, Aberdeen, Scotland, in 1999. She has been a practicing therapist since that time. Her career began at Fanny Allen Rehab (University of Vermont Medical Center) in Colchester, Vermont, in 1999, and continued until 2005 in the inpatient therapy department. . In 2005 Jill transitioned to Maine Medical Center, Portland, Maine. She remained there until 2011, working in the acute care setting, evaluating and treating patients with varying diagnoses including, but not limited to, cardiac, neurologic, orthopedica and medically complex conditions. In 2011, Jill relocated to Connecticut, working at Hartford Hospital from 2011 to 2018, where she worked in the acute care setting, evaluating and treating patients with diagnoses such as cardiac, neurologic, orthopedic and medically complex conditions. Jill served as a Neuro Therapy Team Leader for 2 years. In 2018, she transitioned to Gaylord Specialty Healthcare. Her speciality is in brain injury. In this setting, Jill evaluates and treat patients with various conditions such as TBI, stroke, SCI, orthopedic injuries, and medically complex conditions with her specialty being brain injury. I served as a Team Leader for from 2018-2020. Currently I am an Inpatient Therapy Supervisor, Certified Crisis Prevention Intervention Therapist, Certified Clinical Instructor and certified EKSO therapist.
