George is a Professor Emeritus at Saint Joseph’s University’s (SJU) Haub School of Business and the Pharmaceutical & Healthcare Business Department, who teaches at the graduate and undergrad levels. Prior to joining the faculty at SJU, he held positions in the medical device and pharmaceutical industry for 28 years that ranged from sales to chief operating officer in which he sold products, conducted research and introduced several new medical/pharmaceutical businesses into global markets. As part of product launches, George has attained favorable reimbursement coverage determinations and coding for pharmaceuticals and drug-device combination products with international and U.S. authorities, such as Medicare, and with major U.S. insurance companies. More recently as a tenure-track professor in academia, he has conducted research that assessed the use of non-pharmaceutical intervention for patients, particularly residents of senior living facilities. He has been a member of several boards of directors and maintains a presence with professional associations and in the peer-reviewed literature.
