Dr. Li is a physical therapist by training with several years of clinical experience, specializing in Orthopaedic and Sports Rehabilitation. Then, he completed his Master of Physical Therapy in the US, and PhD in Orthopaedic and Sports Rehabilitation at The Hong Kong Polytechnic University. Currently, he is serving as a Post-Doctoral Fellow in Advanced Rehabilitation Research in Neuromusculoskeletal Disorders at the University of Maryland School of Medicine.
Dr. Li's research focus is to understand the underlying pathomechanics of osteoarthritis (OA) and sports injury, through the integration of biomechanical, imaging, and clinical analyses. He is also interested in conducting interdisciplinary research, to innovate applications for biomechanical evaluation and advance early screening methods for OA and sports injury, facilitating timely, precise rehabilitation using technology-driven approaches.
