Ryan Glatt is a Certified Personal Trainer and National Board-Certified Health & Wellness Coach with over a decade of experience specializing in brain health. As the Director of the FitBrainSM Program at Pacific Neuroscience Institute, Ryan designs personalized lifestyle and exercise interventions for individuals with cognitive concerns and neurological conditions, aiming to prevent or slow cognitive decline.
He holds a Bachelor's in Exercise Science from California Lutheran University and a Master’s in Applied Neuroscience from King’s College London. Currently, he is pursuing a PhD in Leadership: Health & Human Performance with a minor in Gerontology at Concordia University Chicago. Ryan has furthered his education through the Amen Clinics, the BrainFirst Training Institute, the Neuroscience Academy, and the Academy for Brain Health & Performance.
With a passion for neuroscience and learning, Ryan brings evidence-based strategies to health coaching and personal training. He works in multidisciplinary teams and encourages individuals to build their own support networks for brain health. He specializes in creating “brain healthy exercise programs” using the latest research, integrating components like sleep optimization and cognitive stimulation.
Inspired by his own recovery from a concussion using Dance Dance Revolution, Ryan developed the FitBrainSM program, which incorporates dual-task training through "serious exergaming"—technology-driven games that engage both the body and brain. He actively consults with companies developing clinical exergames, gamified rehabilitation tools, and cognitive-motor training platforms, while collaborating on research in this field.
Ryan is the creator of the Brain Health Trainer course, the first program to teach health and fitness professionals how to integrate brain health into exercise programming. This course is offered through the American Council on Exercise as part of their Senior Fitness Specialization. A frequent international speaker, Ryan enjoys educating diverse audiences on the science of exercise and brain health.
