Dr. Jordan serves as the Director of Vision Rehabilitation Services at Brooks Rehabilitation Hospital, where she provides optometric and vision rehabilitation care for patients with ocular and neurologic vision impairments in the outpatient low vision clinic. She also collaborates with interdisciplinary teams in the subacute inpatient rehabilitation hospitals to address how visual changes affect rehabilitation outcomes. In addition to her clinical work, Dr. Jordan is involved in research through the Brooks Clinical Research Center and teaches the continuing education course Vision Rehabilitation: Understanding and Managing Visual Impairments Across the Continuum of Care through the Brooks Institure for Higher Learning. .
She completed her residency in low vision and primary care at the Ralph H Johnson VAMC and earned her OD, Magna Cum Laude, from the University of Houston College of Optometry. Her professional interests center on vision rehabilitation. Dr. Jordan is a fellow of the American Academy of Optometry and the National Academies of Practice and holds memberships in the American Optometry Association and the American Congress of Rehabilitation Medicine, where she participates in the Vision Task Force. She also serves as the administrative advisor for the National Hospital-Based Interest Group for Neuro Vision Rehab.
