Dr Rafael Zambelli Pinto is an Associate Professor in the Department of Physical Therapy at the Federal University of Minas Gerais (UFMG) since 2017, a faculty member of the Graduate Program in Rehabilitation Sciences (PPGCR-UFMG). Professor Rafael Zambelli is the Editor-in-Chief of the Brazilian Journal of Physical Therapy, and Secretary of the International Society of Physiotherapy Journal Editors (ISPJE) for the 2019–2023 term.
He holds a Bachelor's degree in Physical Therapy (2005) and a specialization in Physical Therapy with emphasis in Orthopedics, Traumatology, and Sports (2006), both from UFMG. He completed his Master’s degree in Rehabilitation Sciences at UFMG in 2008. In 2013, he earned his PhD from the School of Public Health at the University of Sydney, Australia, supported by a Full Doctoral Scholarship Abroad from CAPES.
