Dr. Pickett is a neuropsychologist and board certified rehabilitation psychologist with over 20 years’ experience in TBI research, program development and oversight, and clinical care in VHA and DoD healthcare systems. His assessment and rehabilitation of TBI and associated psychological health conditions have been robust aspects of his clinical, research, and administrative life since 2000. He was the first staff neuropsychologist on the newly formed Polytrauma Rehabilitation Center (PRC) at the Richmond VA Medical Center in 2005. His research involvements have occurred through the Polytrauma System of Care and Mental Health Services in the Department of Veterans Affairs, the Defense and Veterans Brain Injury Center (DVBIC) (now Traumatic Brain Injury Center of Excellence (TBICoE), and most recently through my role as Department Chief, Research at the National Intrepid Center of Excellence (NICoE) at Walter Reed Military Medical Center.
