Isabella Sterner currently serves as the Research Assistant and Coordinator for the Center for Music and Medicine within the Department of Neurology at Johns Hopkins. She earned her bachelor's degrees in Neuroscience and Psychology, along with a minor in Music Theory, from St. Mary's College of Maryland in 2023. Prior to her current role, she worked as a laboratory assistant at the Center for Biomolecular Therapeutics in the Department of Biochemistry at the University of Maryland, Baltimore, where she supported translational research in electrophysiology and calcium signaling.
In her current position, Isabella supports several clinical research studies investigating music-based interventions for neurological conditions including Alzheimer's disease, Parkinson's disease, corticobasal syndrome, and adolescent epilepsy. Isabella is also a prospective PhD applicant and is currently engaged in graduate-level coursework in the Science of Clinical Investigation at the Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health, as part of her ongoing professional development in clinical research.
