Kimberly Erler, OT, PhD, FAOTA, FNAP is a rehabilitation scientist and occupational therapist with expertise in neurorehabilitation following brain injury and stroke. She earned her PhD in Rehabilitation Sciences from the MGH Institute of Health Professions, where she now serves as Director of the Tedy’s Team Center of Excellence in Stroke Recovery and Doctoral Capstone Coordinator for the Department of Occupational Therapy. Dr. Erler’s research focuses on enhancing social participation and long-term outcomes for individuals with acquired brain injuries. Her work bridges research, education, and clinical practice to promote recovery and meaningful engagement in everyday life.
She has presented and published at the state and national level on a variety of clinically relevant topics including her research in neurorehabilitation following traumatic brain injury and stroke, and ethical decision-making in clinical practice
