Miriam Carroll-Alfano is an Associate Professor at Midwestern University and Certified Brain Injury Specialist. She has been a speech-language pathologist for 25 years working with patients with a variety of disorders including aphasia, motor speech disorders, cognitive communication disorders, head and neck cancer, and dysphagia in hospital, rehabilitation, and outpatient settings. She serves on the ACRM Athlete Development & Sports Rehabilitation Networking Group, the Illinois Speech and Hearing Association Medical Practice Committee, and is Chair of the Academy of Neurologic Communication Disorders and Sciences Membership Committee.
