April Hodge is a practicing physical therapist. She graduated from the University of Utah with her doctorate in physical therapy in 2005. In 2011, April became certified as a Board Certified Neurologic Specialist. Her passion is vestibular rehab. From 2009 to 2024, she has served on the Vestibular Rehab Special Interest Group of the American Physical Therapy Association as The Communication Coordinator. She also served on the Vestibular Rehab SIG’s Online Education Committee, and completed an interactive webinar course for the APTA’s Neuro Synapse regarding differential diagnosis of Meniere's Disease and Vestibular Migraine. In 2014, she co-created a Neurology Special Interest Group for APTA Georgia where she served as the Vice Chair and Chair between 2014 and 2022. April currently works for the Shepherd Center in Atlanta, Georgia at the SHARE Military Initiative and Complex Concussion Clinic. There April serves on a multidisciplinary team, which treats veterans with mild traumatic brain injury and PTSD from OEF, OIF, and OND conflicts. As well as civilians with complex concussions. Her goal is to assist in returning these individuals to their communities by providing a holistic approach to chronic pain and vestibular impairment.
