Dr. Allen is board certified in Rehabilitation Psychology through ABPP and a certified Mental Performance Consultant through AASP. She earned her doctoral degree in Clinical Psychology in 2018 and her master’s degree in Sport and Performance Psychology in 2013 from the University of Denver Graduate School of Professional Psychology in Colorado. She completed her internship at the James A. Haley (Tampa, FL) VA and her postdoctoral fellowship in Rehabilitation Psychology at Emory University School of Medicine. Prior to graduate school, she completed her undergraduate degree at Davidson College where she competed as a Division I athlete (swimmer). Dr. Allen’s current clinical focus is psychological assessment and intervention for athletes and professionals with subacute and/or persistent post-concussive symptoms. She practices with Shepherd Center’s Complex Concussion Clinic and serves as a consulting Sport and Performance Psychologist throughout the community.
