Dr. Khawla Loubani is an occupational therapist, researcher, and lecturer at Ben-Gurion University of the Negev with over 20 years of clinical experience in physical rehabilitation and oncology care. Her research focuses on cancer survivorship, barriers to rehabilitation referrals, cognitive and functional impairments among individuals living with and beyond cancer, and the implementation of telehealth services among several acute and medical health conditons.
She leads and collaborates on national and international projects aimed at improving daily functioning and quality of life for people living with and beyond cancer (PLWBC). Dr. Loubani also mentors graduate students and contributes to service development and policy within the Israeli healthcare system, including initiatives to promote early access to rehabilitation and interdisciplinary collaboration.
