Reliability and Agreement Between Goniometry and Inclinometer Ankle Range of Motion Measurements

Learning Objectives:

• Upon completion, participants will be able to discuss the intrarater reliability, standard error of measure, and minimimal detectable change of the goniometer when measuring active range of motion of ankle dorsiflexion and plantarflexion in non-weightbearing.
• Upon completion, participants will be able to discuss the intrarater reliability, standard error of measure, and minimimal detectable change of the inclinometer and why it should not be used when measuring active range of motion of ankle dorsiflexion and plantarflexion in non-weightbearing.
• Upon completion, participants will be able to explain why the goniometer and the inclinometer should not be used interchangeable when measuring active range of motion of ankle dorsiflexion and plantarflexion.
