Jennifer Richert, OTR/L, BCPR, is the Associate Director of Staff Development at Shirley Ryan AbilityLab. She has been an occupational therapist for over 20 years, working in acute care, inpatient rehabilitation, and outpatient levels of care with all diagnostic groups, but with specialties in pediatrics, upper extremity casting, and burns. She has held leadership roles in both inpatient and outpatient levels of care. In her current role in Staff Development, she oversees orientation, education, and development for allied health staff of all disciplines, as well as guiding practice related initiatives. She is currently leading a working group at Shirley Ryan AbilityLab geared at implementing the Rehabilitation Treatment Specification System (RTSS) framework into practice for allied health at all levels of care, both in terms of clinical decision-making but also within the electronic health record.
